We have various programs in education, tailored to meet different professional goals from pre-service, and in-service study. Across all programs, however, is a deep commitment to education and development of the nation . We believe deeply that all educators should have knowledge of the needs and capacities of the individuals they will teach along with rich understandings about the teaching and learning endeavor.
Students enter the College of Education Program from all over the country. Placed as we are at the heart of Lipa City makes study at our institution incredibly rich, challenging, and exciting. We work very closely with most of the partner schools and organizations in the city and this affords us a privileged view of the range of possibilities and practices offered by education.

As Lipa City Colleges enters its 60th year, its College of Education continue with vision and commitment offering one of the most innovative educational opportunities available to non-traditional learners. It is through this hardwork that the college maintains its full academic accreditation by the Philippine Association of Colleges and Universities Commission on Accreditation (PACUCOA). Objectives of the College of Education
The college aims for the realization of the following objectives:
- prepare teachers with deep commitment and dedication to the ministry of the teaching profession;
- strengthen teachers’ competencies imploring modern trends and approaches to teaching-learning activities and evaluation
- develop teachers’ competencies in classroom management, production and preparation of relevant curriculum materials, research and evaluation; and
- utilize community resources by establishing effective and efficient system linkage between the school and the community.
The college offers two degrees:
Bachelor of Secondary Education major in:
- General Science
- Physical Education and
Bachelor of Elementary Education with area of concentration in:
- Pre-School Education and
Education courses at Lipa City Colleges must be accomplished at a span of four years comprising 2 semesters and an optional summer class. The first semester starts during the second week of June and ends on the later weeks of October. A semestral break of two weeks is observed before the start of the second semester which begins on the early weeks of November and ends on the later weeks of March. Likewise summer classes were also held at a period of 6 weeks within the months of April and May. The school also observes some different national and local holidays and has seasonal observances in mid-December as part of its community involvement. In lieu of teacher training, senior students are immersed to different learning institutions for a period of 12 weeks. These students are required to report to school occasionally to furnish reports and development. They are required to accomplish referral files and participate during the graduation.
During the student teaching period, weekends and school holidays offer opportunities for students to take trips and explore local environs.
