LCC Announces its Partnerships with HITACHI and PLDT
The Lipa City Colleges thru the College of Computer Studies recently announced its partnership with its new industry partners, Philippine Long Distance Telephone Company (PLDT) and Hitachi Cable Philippines.
Mr. Kristoffer Alain Sarmiento, Chairperson of the College of Computer Studies initiated the said linkages with the aforementioned companies. The signing of the Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) with PLDT was held at Batangas City last April 12, 2010 which was represented by Mr. Emiliano R. Tanchico, First Vice-President HRMD of PLDT and Dr. Linda Platero, College Dean of Lipa City Colleges. Meanwhile, the linkage with the Hitachi Cable Philippines was done at Lima, Malvar, Batangas last April 28, 2010 with Mr. Yuichi Isozaki, President/Factory Manager of Hitachi and Ms. Eleanor D. Balcruz, LCC Marketing Communications and Career Placement Officer, as the MOA signatories.
The institution has agreed with the two industries that they will coordinate with regards on the Internship Program of the LCC students under the College of Computer Studies. Qualified students will undergo internship at the said industry partners prior to graduation in order for them to be adequately familiar with actual office and industrial operations and management to augment their formal training. Stated also on the Memorandum of Agreement that both parties have signed, the industry partners agreed to accept LCC students as interns at its various facilities in support of the Academic Institution's Internship Program and complement existing Computer Science curricula to match industry demands.
